WHAT IS HAPPENING BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA?

As far as the Eurovision Song Contest is concerned, we wanted to write about the recent conflict between the two countries participating in the contest.

Occupying more than 20% of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia has been keeping Nagorno-Karabakh under the illegal control for almost 30 years . The region is known as Azerbaijan’s “music academy.” Although all these lands are recognized by the world community as the territory of Azerbaijan, the world turns a blind eye to the violation of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and human rights. Nagarno Karabakh a terrorist regime with the participation of a neighboring state. Despite the fact that more than 25 years have passed since the adoption of four UN resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884), it has not yet been implemented, and there has not been the slightest attempt by the world community to implement it.

Nowadays, the Republic of Armenia, which is not tired of its aggressive regime, has started war against the Republic of Azerbaijan. The ongoing armed conflict between the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and the Armed Forces of Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh began on the morning of September 27, 2020.

Both sides said there ade military and civilian casualties. As a result of the conflict, martial law and general mobilization were declared in Armenia and the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, and martial law, curfew and partial mobilization were declared in Azerbaijan. Armenians occupying Azerbaijani lands for almost 30 years, expelling millions of people from their lands, were again prevented by the Azerbaijani army, and even several villages and towns were liberated from occupation.

According to official statistics, Azerbaijanis are the only victims of the aggression of Armenia, which is considered the most aggressive country in the world. Armenia which can not defeat Azerbaijani army, is firing on cities and regions that are no longer in the conflict zone, killing and injuring civilians.

Armenia asked Russia to declare a ceasefire in the war. As a result, a humanitarian ceasefire was declared on October 10 at 12:00. However, they failed again, and about 10 minutes after the ceasefire was declared, the civilian population was again fired upon. And then there was a real act of genocide in Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan. During the night, one of the missiles fired by Armenia hit an apartment building, and as a result, the building completely collapsed. 9 people died and more than 200 were injured. Including children and women.
