After the participating countries list and new format announcement, European Broadcasting Union reopens submission for the participation at “Junior Eurovision 2020”.

EBU confirmed to the ESC Plus that additional countries can take part in “Junior Eurovision 2020”.

“The list of participating broadcasters we released today isn’t necessarily the final one – indeed, we would welcome other nations coming on board to JESC 2020, up to our maximum of 20 broadcasters.” – said EBU’s Senior Communications Officer

The list of 13 participating countries that was announced yesterday:

Armenia;
Belarus;
France;
Georgia;
Germany;
Kazakhstan;
Malta;
Poland;
Russia;
Serbia;
Spain;
The Netherlands;

Note that yesterday EBU has revealed a new format of “Junior Eurovision 2020” adopted to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to it, all the performances will be recorded from the TV studios in each participating country.
