13 COUNTRIES CONFIRM THEIR PARTICIPATION

EBU has just revealed the full list of participating countried at “Junior Eurovision 2020”. In total 13 countries will compete in Warsaw this November:

Armenia;
Belarus;
France;
Georgia;
Germany;
Kazakhstan;
Malta;
Poland;
Russia;
Serbia;
Spain;
The Netherlands;
Ukraine.

Despite that Portugal has initially confirmed its participation, country doesn’t take place in the final list of participating countries. It’s also the smallest number of participants since 2013 where only 12 countries took part.

While Germany is making its debut, Albania, Australia, Ireland, Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal and Wales are withdraeing from the contest.

The show, hosted for the second year in succession by TVP, will take on a different form this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic: The 18th Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted live from Warsaw in a studio with all presenters and necessary crew socially distancing. Interval acts will also perform live from Warsaw.

To protect the health of all the artists and ensure the competition can still take place in a fair and safe way, all the competing songs will be performed in a studio in each participating country.
